Cheap & Chic Chapter Dresses

Sorority Chapter is a great place to show off your style as you begin to develop a more professional wardrobe. While the formality of each sorority varies, there are lots of outfits that would hold up to any sorority's standards. If you're not in a sorority, this post can serve as a guide to some great, inexpensive dresses that you can wear to work or church!
I wanted to focus this post just on dresses because building up a wardrobe of dresses helps you to have a comfortable, quick, outfit that doesn't require too much thought. I'll do another post on separates soon, but I thought I'd start with some cheap & chic dresses! EVERY dress featured is under $40!

All of these dresses are easy options for chapter. I wanted to point out that the navy dress has little keys on it! Such a cute detail- especially for Kappa Kappa Gammas! I chose the Emerald dress since it's the color of the year, but it also layers well under a cardigan in chillier months. The grey dress is a classic silhouette, but is still super comfy!

My mall doesn't have a Forever 21, but I thought I'd browse online. Let me just say I was happily surprised by the selection! The first dress is my favorite- it's navy and white and just looks so put together. The bright blue dress is toned down and dressed up by a classic neckline, and the last dress puts a more casual white top with a black skirt, it's a great canvas to accessorize.

Loft has always been my go-to store when I need something a little more polished. While their dresses are regularly priced in the $70-80 range, they are ALWAYS having a sale or special. I pulled these three dresses from the sale section, and as of today they're 60% off of the sale price. So you can get really classic, stylish, quality pieces at a reasonable price. The first dress touches on the peplum trend while staying classic, whereas the second dress is a little louder (but still appropriate!) with lace and fuchsia. I also wanted to include an LBD because so many sororities have occasions that require a pin-attire black dress. This black dress is lace, giving it very subdued but pretty look. I also love that this LBD gives you so much room to accessorize.

There are lots of great places to shop for chapter attire, but for the purpose of this post, I just wanted to showcase three very accessible, affordable shopping options. I'm currently looking to expand my teaching/chapter wardrobe, so leave any suggestions for places to shop in the comments!

Before I sign off, I did want to share one last little chapter dress. I've been eyeing this beauty on Vestique! I may have to snap it up, it's on sale and is a gorgeous (ADPi) blue. Perfect for chapter.
Proper Dahling Dress- $18.50

Hope everyone is happy and healthy!

Saturday Instagram Link Up

I'm excited to be doing my first link up with my blogging friend Sara! Sara's blog, Pearls & Curls has grown a lot lately and she's doing a great job! Definitely check it out, she's a sweet girl and has great taste.

Anyway, I'll be doing this every Saturday! It will be a great visual reminder of what was going on every week. I think it will also encourage me to take more photos on Instagram, which is always great.
Oh, and make sure to follow me on Instagram: @hannahrachelb

This week was a little light on Instagram because I had to travel for a bunch of doctor's appointments. But here are 4 photos that sum up the first week of the New Year!

I was having a really tough day, and getting really nervous about going back to college when I came home to this. My ADPi sisters sent me a really sweet card wishing me well. It's little things like this that make a huge difference.

New lipstick! MAC Apres Chic and Party Parrot!

My Leopard Kilty Minnetonka Mocs came in! So excited to wear them more!

My sleepy Gracie girl.

Bath and Body Works Sale!

Sweet girls taking a nap.

So that was this week! Check out the rest of the IG recaps on Sara's blog!

Stay beautiful,
Hannah

Pretend Care Package

I have tried to get back to blogging so many times this week! Since my brain isn't functioning too well on all the meds, I'm going to focus on pictures. What I'm doing tonight is putting together a pretend care package for myself.  It's like window shopping for the sick :) So these are the things that I'm wishing I could buy to cheer myself up while I'm sick in bed. What's nice about online window shopping is that it cheers me up anyway!  None of these are meant to go together--- they're just things I'm loving tonight.

In The Heights OBC Recording- $16.
I'm seeing In The Heights in a few weeks, and I'll definitely want to buy this to listen to after I see the show!

J. Crew Siren Dress- $98.
I love this dress. The color is gorgeous and would be perfect for my trip to New Orleans and the cruise!

Papaya Love Floral Luxe Tote- $59.
Papaya is the best, and is a care package staple since my aunt always sends me their gorgeous journals and cards.
Lilly Pulitzer Murfee Scarf in Booty Caw- $118.
Just something to lust over.
Roman Holiday Collector's Edition- $9.98
I've been needing a dose of Audrey and Rome.
So those are just some silly things I'd pack in the world's nicest care package to myself tonight. Too bad it's just pretend :)
